what is the coffee locale home subscription?

With our home subscription, you’ll receive 3 different carefully selected coffees every month (3 x 150 g or 3 x 250 g) from North American craft roasters. The 3 x 150g is equivalent to a 1 lb bag or 30 cups of coffee.

when do you ship?

Subscriptions are shipped the first weekday of each month.

when do I have to order?

Monthly cutoff for the upcoming month’s shipment is the 23rd of each month. If your order is placed after the 23rd, you will receive not the upcoming, but the following month's Locale Box. .

when will I be billed for the monthly recurring subscription?

For recurring Locale Box subscriptions, billing will take place on the 24th of each month for the upcoming month’s Locale Box. Refunds or cancellations are not accepted after you have been charged for that upcoming month – otherwise, this would result in wasted coffee!

Is this a recurring subscription? If I decide I want to cancel, how do I do so?

If you choose the monthly recurring, it keeps going until you cancel (which you can do at any time). It’s easy to cancel through your account, and we’ll send you a reminder a few days before every renewal.
If you choose 3, 6 or 12 months prepaid, it will end with your final shipment. But we’ll send you a reminder a few days before the end so you can sign up again!

how do I update or change my current subscription?

If you decide you want to upgrade from 150g to 250g, no problem. You can contact us directly, or you can change your preferences in your account.

how do you select the roasters?

We meet with all the roasters we select for the coffee locale subscription, it’s important that we have relationships and shared values. It’s also nice to do a tasting with the roaster! And we taste a lot of coffee every month because we want to surprise you with a great selection. Through our cupping, we evaluate things like the body, acidity, finish, complexity and aftertaste.

how are the coffees best brewed?

FThe coffees featured in Coffee Locale are best brewed with a filter. If your preference is espresso, let us know and we can customize something for you.

is the coffee fresh?

Freshness is very important to us. When it’s shipped, it’s about 1 to 4 days from the roast date.

where do you ship to and is it free shipping?

Currently, we ship to Canada & the USA. The shipping and tax are included for Canadian orders, and US shipping is calculated at checkout.

how do you ship your coffee and how long will it take to get to me?

Within Canada, it’s Canada Post Expedited Service. Usually 1–5 days depending on the location. Sometimes rural areas can take a little longer.
Within the USA, we also ship Canada Post and it takes about 3–8 business days. This is assuming there are no customs delays.
Currently, we don’t ship to international locations because of the shipping costs and timing. But if you are really keen for some Coffee Locale, we may be able to make it happen.
