learn to brew the perfect cup with these great tools

1. Gently pour twice the amount of water than you have coffee onto your grounds. If you have 30 grams of coffee, you’ll start with 60 grams of water.
2. Gently stir the grounds with a wooden spoon or paddle. Allow the coffee to bloom for 30 seconds.
3. Pour in the remaining water and gently place the lid on top of the grounds. Don’t plunge it just yet. The coffee should steep for four minutes.
4. Press the filter down. If it’s hard to press, your grind is too fine; if it’s super easy, it means your grind is too coarse. The sweet spot, is 15–20 pounds of pressure.
5. When you’ve finished pressing, serve the coffee immediately or pour it into a carafe to avoid over-extraction.
6. Enjoy your coffee!
